The victim stated that the suspects grabbed the purses from the seat and fled the area on foot to the rear of the residence. The victim stated that she and her sister gave chase but was unable to catch- up with the suspects. The victim stated that the suspects jumped into a brown Honda and left the area. Police investigating shooting death. Police continue to investigate the shooting death of a Boynton Beach man. At this time, the shooter has been released from police custody pending further investigation. He is identified as Philorius Joseph, 3. Delray Beach. Joseph alleges that he shot Evan Herring, 2. Clipper Cove apartment complex at around 6: 3. Joseph said that Herring lunged at him and punched him in the face and then continued to take a fighting stance with him. Joseph said he recently had surgery and could not physically defend himself against Herring. Joseph said he could not run away because he feared that Herring would attack him from behind. Joseph said he feared for his safety and felt the only way he could defend himself was to use deadly force. Following the shooting, Joseph remained on scene and immediately surrendered to arriving officers, even though witnesses on scene had encouraged him to run. The two victims were leaving Ezell Hester after playing basketball when they were approached by two black males holding black handguns. The subjects pointed the firearms at the victims and robbed the victims of their cellphones and wallet. The suspects were described as young males, one wearing a white tank top and a beanie, the other wearing a red t- shirt, black shorts, and a bandana. Suspects fled in an unknown direction. Upon arrival, Officers found a female victim laying on the ground in front of the business. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds. Officers secured the scene and provided first aid to the victim. W Ocean Ave. Officers responded to the above address in reference to a white male, identified as Tyler Dancer, causing a verbal disturbance while intoxicated. While in custody, Dancer became combative and began banging his head against the holding cell door. Elite Removal responded and recovered the body. Boynton Bch Blvd. Victim advised that unknown suspect(s) entered their vehicle and stole property from within. Woolbright Rd. Victim advised that unknown suspect(s) entered their vehicle and stole property from within. Officers were alerted to a verbal dispute between an intoxicated male and Watershed Staff. The male was being disruptive and belligerent with the staff. The facility staff requested that the male be removed from the property. In the process of escorting the male from the property, The male offered active physical resistance in return. One Officer deployed his Taser which was effective and the male was taken into custody for disorderly intoxication / Resisting LEO without violence. While responding to a disturbance, K- 9 Officer Sohn was flagged down by female where she indicated to him that Eric Scruggs was at the above location sitting inside a red Toyota Corolla. Scruggs refused to comply with Ofc Sohn. Victim reported exiting the gas station and observing a black male later identified as John Emanuel Austin stealing five dollars from the arm rest compartment. Boynton Briefing - March 3. Burglary to Residence 4. SW 7th Ct. Units responded to the above address in reference to a delayed burglary. Upon arrival officers met with the victim who stated unknown person(s) broke the back door window and gained access to the residence. Once inside they stole $3. Total cost of loss was $7. Overdose/Non- fatal 1. E. MLKUnits responded to the above address in reference to an overdose. Upon arrival information was gleaned the B/F patient had injected Heroin and was now unconscious and not breathing. Narcan was administered by BBFR and the patient regained consciousness.
